We overhauled video delivery (lightweight encodes, responsive sources, lazy loading, poster frames, and cache/CDN tuning) to keep pages sharp and fast under pressure. We also built a custom newsletter modal designed for respect, not interruption: appears only after meaningful engagement (e.g., X% scroll), frequency-capped for 90 days via local storage/cookies, fully accessible (focus trap/ESC), and easy to retune from the CMS. Result: truthful stories that load instantly, plus a conversion pattern that earns permission instead of demanding it.
