Launched by EDF in 2014, the "Grand CarΓ©nage" is an industrial program aimed at renovating and modernizing existing nuclear power plants. As a part of this program, n 2020 we co-facilitated a series of workshops led in collaboration with the teams of Switch and Go, meant to further include EDF's teams in the renovation process. Spread accross two days, the workshops were meant to help EDF's teams collectively imagine digitization solutions to tackle the issues faced by the maintenance teams.
Preparing for an inspection visit to a nuclear power plant is a complex matter. However, within the scope of the Grand CarΓ©nage, which covers the entire French fleet of nuclear power plants, there is a significant need to verify the installations and make necessary modifications or replacements. Virtual reality, with the VVProPrΓ©pa software, assists maintenance teams in programming their work, especially when the operational reactor is inaccessible.
